Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

NTP of North Kalimantan Province in August 2024 was 112.95 or decreased by -0.04 percent compared to NTP in July 2024. The decrease in NTP was caused by a decrease in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) by -0.20 percent or deeper than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which decreased by -0.17 percent.

NTP per subsector of North Kalimantan Province in August 2024, namely Food Crop Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 101.10; Horticulture Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 103.44; The Exchange Rate for Plantation Farmers (NTPR) was 178.88; the Exchange Rate for Livestock Farmers (NTPT) was 102.75; and the Exchange Rate for Fishermen and Fish Farmers (NTNP) was 100.91.

The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for North Kalimantan Province in August 2024 was 116.19 or down -0.39 percent compared to the NTUP for the previous month.

In August 2024, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Kalimantan Province by -0.29 percent with the deepest decrease occurring in the Food, Beverages and Tobacco group by -0.62 percent.
