Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
North Kalimantan Province's NTP in January 2024 was 110.39 or a decrease of -1.05 percent compared to the NTP in December 2023. The decrease in NTP was caused by a decrease in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) of -0.59 percent while the Price Index Paid by Farmers ( Ib) experienced an increase of 0.47 percent.
NTP per subsector of North Kalimantan Province January 2024, namely the Crop Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 97.41; Farmer Horticulture Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 103.83; People's Plantation Plantation Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPR) was 162.14; Livestock Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) of 105.72; and the Exchange Rate for Fishermen and Fish Cultivators (NTNP) was 103.25.
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for North Kalimantan Province in January 2024 was 113.09 or down -0.60 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
In January 2024 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Kalimantan by 0.64 percent with the highest increase occurring in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group of 0.91 percent.
