Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
North Kalimantan Province's NTP in August 2023 was 111.13 or an increase of 0.07 percent compared to the NTP in July 2023. The increase in NTP was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which rose faster than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
NTP per sub-sector of North Kalimantan Province in August 2023, namely the Food Crop Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 97.26; Horticultural Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 101.38; The Smallholder Plantation Plantation Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPR) was 169.50; Livestock Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) of 107.50; and Fishermen and Fish Farmers Exchange Rate (NTNP) of 102.33.
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for North Kalimantan Province in August 2023 was 112.93 or an increase of 0.14 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
In August 2023, there will be an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Kalimantan by 0.26 percent with the highest increase occurring in the Transportation group at 0.74 percent.
