Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

NTP of North Kalimantan Province in July 2024 was 112.99 or an increase of 0.20 percent compared to NTP in June 2024. The increase in NTP was due to an increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) by 0.54 percent or faster than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which increased by 0.34 percent.

NTP per subsector of North Kalimantan Province in July 2024, namely Food Crop Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 102.07; Horticulture Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 104.00; The Exchange Rate for Plantation Farmers (NTPR) was 177.87; the Exchange Rate for Livestock Farmers (NTPT) was 103.37; and the Exchange Rate for Fishermen and Fish Farmers (NTNP) was 99.96.

The Household Agricultural Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) for North Kalimantan Province in July 2024 was 116.65 or an increase of 0.44 percent compared to the NTUP for the previous month.

In July 2024, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Kalimantan Province by 0.41 percent with the highest increase occurring in the Food, Beverages and Tobacco group of 0.64 percent.
