Abstract

Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, in January 2023. The highest year on year (yoy) inflation was Kotabaru City at 7.78 percent, Kotamobagu City at 7.42 percent and Bandung City at 7.37 percent. Meanwhile, cities with the lowest inflation were Sorong City at 3.23 percent, Ternate City at 3.70 percent and Waingapu City at 3.78 percent.
The combined prices of goods/services for the City of Tarakan and Tanjung Selor City in January 2023 experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.51 percent with a monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.25 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 6.50 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of -0.04 percent. The city of Tarakan experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.00 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.32 percent.
The combined annual inflation (yoy) for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the transportation group by 13.61 percent, the personal care and other services group by 8.39 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 6.37 percent, the food, beverages and tobacco by 3.85 percent, the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 2.81 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 2.05 percent, the education group by 0.63 percent, the clothing and footwear by 0.63 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.52 percent, the health group by 0.50 percent and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.32 percent.

In July, the Combined 2 Cities (Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City) experienced year on year (YoY) inflation of 2.79 percent, monthly inflation of 0.36 percent and calendar inflation of 1.78 percent.
