Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, in June 2023. The highest year on year (yoy) inflation was Ambon City at 6.10 percent, Merauke City at 5.91 percent and Kendari City at 5.81 percent. Meanwhile, the cities with the lowest inflation were Gunungsitoli City at 1.01 percent, Bungo City at 1.55 percent, and Tembilahan City at 1.73 percent.
The combined prices of goods/services for the City of Tarakan and Tanjung Selor City in June 2023 experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.91 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.37 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.71 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.03 percent. The city of Tarakan experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.96 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.46 percent.
The combined monthly inflation (mtm) for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.03 percent, the health group by 0.41 percent, the transportation group by 0.13 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel by 0.12 percent, personal care and other services group by 0.07 percent, recreation, sports and culture group by 0.03 percent, clothing and footwear group by 0.00 percent, information, communication and financial services by 0.00 percent, the education group by 0.00 percent, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 0.00 percent and the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group experienced deflation of -0.03 percent.
