  • Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, March 2023. The highest year on year (yoy) inflation was Tual City at 7.49 percent, Kotabaru City at 7.40 percent and Kotamobagu City at 6.95 percent. Meanwhile, cities with the lowest inflation were Merauke City at 3.17 percent, Tembilahan City at 3.49 percent and Tangerang City at 3.75 percent.
  • The combined prices of goods/services for the City of Tarakan and Tanjung Selor City in March 2023 experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.17 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.26 percent. The city of Tanjung Selor experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.39 percent with a monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.20 percent. The city of Tarakan experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.85 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.27 percent.
  • The combined annual inflation (yoy) for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the transportation group by 16.11 percent, the personal care and other services group by 6.16 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 4.15 percent, the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.16 percent, the food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.23 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.45 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0 .70 percent, the education group by 0.63 percent, the health group by 0.58 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.32 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.13 percent.
