Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher NTP, the relatively stronger the level of farmers' ability / purchasing power.
Kalimantan Utara Province NTP in January 2020 was 104.03 or rose 0.52 percent compared to NTP in December 2019. The increase in NTP was caused by the Farmer Received Price Index (IT) which rose higher than the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib).
NTP per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2019, namely the Exchange Rate of Food Crop Farmers (NTPP) of 100.82; Horticultural Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 95.60; The Exchange Rate of Smallholder Plantation Farmers (NTPR) of 115.81; Livestock Farmers Exchange Rate (NTPT) of 105.28 and Fisherman and Fish Cultivator Exchange Rate (NTNP) of 104.53.
The Exchange Rate of Agriculture Households (NTUP) of Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2020 was 104.94, up 0.73 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
