Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively strong the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers.
FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2021 amounted to 103.62, an increase of 0.19 percent compared to FTT in December 2020. The increase in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2021, namely the Food Crop Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 99.57; Horticultural Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 95.15; Smallholder Plantation Crops Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPR) of 124.18; livestock farmers farmer terms of trade (NTPT) is 103.32 and fishermen and fish cultivators farmer terms of trade (NTNP) is 101.20.
The Agricultural Household Businesses Farmer Terms of Trade (NTUP) in Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2021 was 106.00 or increased 0.45 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
