From 82 municipalities monitoring national CPI, in November 2019 there were 57 municipalities experiencing inflation and 25 other municipalities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Manado Municipality at 3.30 percent and the lowest occurred in Malang Municipality at 0.01 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan Municipality by -1.06 percent and the lowest occurred in Batam Municipality by -0.01 percent.
Kalimantan Utara Province (Tarakan Municipality) in November 2019 there was an inflation of 0.63 percent with a calendar year inflation rate of 0.37 percent and year-on-year inflation of 1.98 percent
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara (Tarakan Municipality) is influenced by rising prices in the food group by 2.07 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.53 percent, health groups by 0.43 percent, food, groups processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.12 percent; and the education, recreation and sports group by 0.04 percent. While the groups that experienced a price decline were the transportation and communication group by -0.63 percent and the clothing group by -0.16 percent.
