In January 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in North Kalimantan Province was 1.99 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.42. The highest inflation occurred in Nunukan Regency at 6.65 percent with a CPI of 106.10 and the lowest occurred in Tarakan City at 1.55 percent with a CPI of 103.46.
Y-on-y inflation in North Kalimantan Province occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.45 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.23 percent; personal care and other services group at 2.12 percent; transportation group 2.09 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.72 percent; health group at 0.49 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.29 percent; and the education group was 0.24 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for North Kalimantan Province in January were each 0.05 percent.
