  • The number of poor people in Kalimantan Utara Province in September 2021 is 49.49 thousand (6.83 percent). In March 2021, the number of poor people amounted to 52.86 thousand (7.36 percent), meaning that the number of poor people decreased by 3.4 thousand people or decreased by 0.53 percentage points.
  • During March–September 2021, the poverty line rose by 2.72 percent, from Rp. 710,994,- per capita per month in March 2021 to Rp. 730,342,- per capita per month in September 2021.
  • In the period March–September 2021, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) increased, from 0.872 in March 2021 to 0.893 in September 2021. However, the Poverty Severity Index (P2) decreased from 0.177 to 0.173.
  • In September 2021, the level of inequality in population spending as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.285. This figure decreases when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2021.
  • In September 2021, the distribution of expenditures for the bottom 40 percent of the population is 23.01 percent. This means that population spending is still in the category of low inequality level.
