The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in 2020 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at 2010 current market prices reaches IDR 100.54 trillion and at constant 2010 prices reaches IDR 60.74 trillion.
The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in 2020 (c-to-c) grew -1.11 percent, a contraction in growth compared to 2019. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the electricity and gas supply business field of 11.57 percent, while that caused a contraction. growth is the mining and quarrying business field which is minus 6.81 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Export of Goods and Services component of 1.58 percent, while the component contributing to the contraction was the PMTB component which experienced minus 3.04 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2020 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2019 (y-on-y) grew by -4.76 percent, experiencing contraction in growth compared to the same period the previous year. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Water Supply, Waste Management and Waste Cycle business fields by 15.03 percent, while the cause of the contraction was the provision of accommodation and food and drink, which contracted by 9.68. From the expenditure side, the highest negative growth was achieved by the PMTB component of 3.39 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2020 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) experienced a growth of 0.14 percent. From the production side, the highest growth was also achieved by the water supply, waste management and recycling business fields amounting to 9.20 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the PKP component at 15.98 percent.
Spatially, the economic growth of the Kalimantan Island region in 2020 grew negatively by 2.27 percent with the highest growth in Kalimantan Utara Province which grew -1.11 percent.
