Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is an indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher of FTT, the relatively strong the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers.
FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2020 amounted to 102.58, an increase of 0.52 percent compared to the FTT in July 2020. The increase in FTT was caused by the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province August 2020, namely the Food Crop Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 100.06; Horticultural Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 95.36; The Smallholder Plantation Crops Terms of Trade (NTPR) of 112.64; The Animal Husbandry Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 102.68 and the Fishermen and Fish Cultivators Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 103.21.
The Agricultural Household Farmers Terms of Trade (NTUP) in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2020 was 104.49, an increase of 0.45 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
