Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2022 was 107.88 or an increase of 2.09 percent compared to the FTT in July 2022. The increase in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2022, namely the Exchange Rate of Food Crops Farmers (NTPP) of 95.97; Horticultural Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 102.70; Farmers' Exchange Rate for People's Plantation Crops (NTPR) is 146.88; Livestock Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPT) of 102.84; and the Exchange Rate of Fishermen and Fish Cultivators (NTNP) of 105.60.
The Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) of Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2022 was 111.09, an increase of 1.77 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
In August 2022, there was a 0.09 percent decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Utara due to a 0.39 percent decline in the Recreation, Sports and Culture index.
