Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

NTP of North Kalimantan Province in January 2025 was 117.34 or an increase of 2.19 percent compared to NTP in December 2024. The increase in NTP was due to an increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) by 1.33 percent or faster than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which decreased by -0.85 percent.

NTP per subsector of North Kalimantan Province in January 2025, namely Food Crop Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPP) of 103.98; Horticulture Farmer Exchange Rate (NTPH) of 104.72; The Exchange Rate for Plantation Farmers (NTPR) was 204.14; the Exchange Rate for Livestock Farmers (NTPT) was 102.49; and the Exchange Rate for Fishermen and Fish Farmers (NTNP) was 99.69.

The Exchange Rate for Agricultural Household Businesses (NTUP) in North Kalimantan Province in January 2025 was 120.15 or an increase of 1.33 percent compared to the NTUP in the previous month.

In January 2025, there was a decrease in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in North Kalimantan Province by -1.13 percent with the deepest decrease occurring in the Housing, Water, Electricity and Household Fuel group of -17.77 percent.
