Abstract

In November 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in North Kalimantan Province was 1.68 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.26. The highest inflation occurred in Nunukan Regency at 2.43 percent with a CPI of 106.87 and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Selor at 0.36 percent with a CPI of 104.55.

The y-on-y inflation in North Kalimantan Province occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 2.64 percent; clothing and footwear group by 3.99 percent; health group by 0.67 percent; transportation group by 0.53 percent; education group by 0.30 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.90 percent; personal care and other services group by 6.05 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that experienced a decrease in the index were the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.38 percent; the household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.69 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.28 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.08 percent.

North Kalimantan Province in November had a month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate of -0.12 percent and a year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of 0.85 percent.
