Of the 90 municipalities monitored by the national CPI, in July 2021, 61 municipalities experienced inflation and 29 municipalitite experienced deflation. The highest inflation was found in Sorong municipality at 1.51 percent while the lowest inflation occurred in Sampit Municipality at 0.01 percent. The highest deflation was found in Manokwari Municipality at -0.60 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in Maumere and Samarinda Municipality at -0.01 percent.
Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in July 2021 experienced a deflation of -0.06 percent. Tarakan Municipality experienced a deflation of -0.02 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced a deflation of -0.26 percent.
Deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the transportation group by -0.93 percent, the personal care and other services group by -0.13 percent, housing, water, electricity, and fuel groups. household fuel by -0.03 percent, and the information, communication and financial services group by -0.02 percent. Meanwhile, inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the education group by 0.28 percent, in the clothing and footwear group by 0.21 percent, in the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0, 12 percent, the food, beverage and tobacco group is 0.11 percent, the health group is 0.07 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group is 0.00 percent, and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group is 0.00 percent.
