The number of labor force in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2020 reached 347,731 people, an increase of 12,623 people compared to the workforce in August 2019 (335,108 people).
The number of people working in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2020 reached 330,441 people, an increase of 10,395 people compared to the situation in August 2019 (320,046 people).
The Open Unemployment Rate (UR) in Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2020 reached 4.97 percent or 17,290 people, an increase compared to the UR in August 2019 which amounted to 4.49 percent (15,062 people).
In August 2020, the population generally worked in the agricultural business field (A) of 31.28 percent, next was trade (G) of 17.70 percent and Government Administration (O) of 9.69 percent.
In August 2020, as many as 113,738 people (34.42 percent) worked less than 35 hours per week, while the population worked 35 hours or more per week (including those who were temporarily unemployed) reaching 216,703 people (65.58 percent).
