  • Of the 90 municipalities that monitored the national CPI, in September 2020, 34 municipalities experienced inflation and 56 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was found in Gunungsitoli Municipality at 1.00 percent and the lowest inflation was in Pontianak Municipality at 0.01 percent. While the highest deflation was in Timika Municipality at -0.83 percent and the lowest was in Bukittinggi Municipality at -0.01.
  • Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in September 2020 experienced inflation of 0.54 percent. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced inflation of 0.63 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced inflation of 0.19 percent.
  • Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the transportation group of 5.23 percent, the personal care and other services group of 0.13 percent, the clothing and footwear group of 0.07 percent, the group equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.05 percent, the education group by 0.01 percent, the health group by 0.00 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.00 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.00 percent, the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, deflation in Kalimantan Utara Municipality (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco group by -0.30 percent and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by -0.30 percent.
