Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) against the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability / purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively stronger the level of farmers' ability / purchasing power.
FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2020 was 102.04, up 0.90 percent compared to FTT in June 2020. The increase in FTT was due to the Farmer Received Price Index (IT) which was higher than the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2020, namely the Farmer Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 99.98; Horticultural Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 96.13; Smallholder Plantation Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPR) of 109.24; Farmers Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 101.72 and Fishermen and Fish Farmers Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 103.32.
Agricultural Household Terms of Trade (NTUP) of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2020 was 104.02, up 0.59 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
