Out of 90 national CPI monitoring municipalities, in July 2020 there were 29 municipalities experiencing inflation and 61 other municipalities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was in Timika by 1.45 percent and the lowest inflation was in Banyuwangi by 0.01 percent. While the highest deflation was in Manokwari Municipality by -1.09 percent and the lowest deflation was in Gunungsitoli Municipality by -0.01 percent.
Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in July 2020 experienced inflation of 0.13 percent. Meanwhile Tarakan Municipality experienced inflation of 0.24 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced deflation of -0.28 percent.
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the personal care and other services group of 2.21 percent, the food and beverage/ restaurant supply group by 0.62 percent, the education group by 0.57 percent , housing, water, electricity and household fuel by 0.20 percent, clothing and footwear by 0.19 percent, household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance by 0.07 percent, recreation, sports and culture by 0.04 percent; and health group by 0.02 percent. While deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the information, communication and financial services group by -0.01 percent, the food, beverage, and tobacco group by -0.21 percent and the transportation group by -0.71 percent.
