  • Human development of Kalimantan Utara continues to progress. In 2018, Human Development Index (HDI) of Kalimantan Utara Province reached 70.56. This figure increased by 0.72 points or grew by 1.03 percent compared to 2017.
  • The status of human development index in Kalimantan Utara achievements switches from "moderate" status to "high" status
  • The quality of health, education, and fulfillment of the needs of the population of Kalimantan Utara has increased compared to 2017. Babies born in 2018 have hopes to live up to 72.50 years, 0.03 years longer than in 2017. Children in 2018, 7 years old had hopes of enjoying 12.82 years of education, 0.03 years longer than in 2017. Populations aged 25 years and over had an average education of 8.87 years, longer 0 25 years compared to 2017. The average per capita expenditure in 2018 is 8.94 million rupiah per year, an increase of 300 thousand rupiah compared to 2017.
