Buong Baru Village Lobster Crackers Processing Training 🦐

Starting from the identification of potential lobster on April 8, 2026 and the development of Beautiful Village, independent data collection was successfully carried out by the Village Statistics Community with students of KKN Universitas Borneo Tarakan. The data collection shows the extraordinary potential of the fisheries sector last year with a total catch of more than 8.9 tons per year. To increase the added value of this potential, the Buong Baru Village Government held a lobster cracker processing training with the Department of Industry, Trade, and Cooperatives of Tana Tidung Regency as speakers. This activity was also attended by the Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics of Tana Tidung Regency, Betayau District, Buong Baru Village Consultative Body, as well as the Social, Community Empowerment and Tana Tidung Regency Village Office. Through this activity, it is expected to strengthen the independence of the village economy based on sustainable real potential data.
